If you have chips and stains, you may feel shy about smiling. Porcelain veneers may be the right choice for you if you are looking for a quick way to refresh your smile. Veneers are thin porcelain covers individually customized to apply to the front surface of your teeth to cover a variety of cosmetic flaws.
A crown is a dental restoration that covers the exposed surface of a tooth to strengthen it or to improve its appearance. Bridge consists of two crowns that anchor one or more false teeth, called pontics, to restore missing teeth. Crowns and bridges can conceal discoloration and chips, reshape your teeth to change their appearance. More importantly, they restore function of your teeth for optimal use.
Whether you are missing a single tooth or a whole arch of teeth, implant restoration may be the right choice for you. Implant restorations can replace a missing tooth without preparation of adjacent teeth for a bridge. If you are missing more teeth, implant bridge may be an option, like a bridge, but instead of teeth, implants would anchor the pontics. Implants can even help retention of loose dentures.
Dentures are removable appliances that can replace missing teeth to restore function and aesthetics. Whether you lost some or all your teeth due to gum disease, tooth decay or injury, dentures help replace your teeth for your health and your appearance. Dentures make it easier for you to chew and speak better than without teeth. They can also be made to closely resemble your natural teeth to limit changes to your appearance.
